I worked on 8 editions of the Global Money Week (GMW) Program at CYFI

│2012 - 2019

Together with our team at Child & Youth Finance International (CYFI) we helped to grow the Campaign’s outreach since 2012 from 21 countries to 175 and to reach over 50 million children and youth throughout the 8 editions.

  • Program management │Supported the organization’s planning, effective implementation and successful execution of the GMW Program/Campaign strategy.

  • GMW planning │Led the cross-functional planning and directed project teams; created the planning overview with roles and timelines; held GMW briefing sessions to the team and volunteers; led post-GMW evaluation sessions; monitored the program planning on a weekly basis, and more.

  • GMW outreach & stakeholder engagement │Worked across departments, including regional managers, on the Campaign outreach strategy. I contacted ministries, corporate companies, stock exchanges, money museums, GMW ambassadors, schools, and press about the Campaign. Identified opportunities for collaborations and worked together with Burberry, PayPal, Deloitte, Netflix, Tommy Hilfiger, the Dutch Central Bank (DNB), London Stock Exchange, and others on joint GMW events.

  • Planning GMW Launch Events │Cooperated with H.M. Queen Máxima’s communications team and the Money Wise Platform from the Ministry of Finance in the Netherlands to jointly organized GMW launch events in 2017-2018. I was the MC/host of the GMW Launch Event 2016 at the British Museum in London. In 2018, I opened the trading in the gong ceremony at the Euronext Amsterdam stock exchange during Global Money Week.

  • GMW communications │Worked closely with the Founder and Co-Directors on global advocacy, campaign and communication strategies. Coordinated translation work, compiled campaign resources, reports, GMW newsletters, blog posts, press releases, social media and website content. For example, I wrote content for the Focus magazine of the World Federation of Exchanges.

  • GMW marketing │Shaped and managed multichannel marketing approach to promote GMW Campaign across websites, social media, email, blog posts, newsletters, and partner networks.

  • Graphic design │Created program resources, data collection forms, how-to guides, marketing materials, posters, banners, and reports with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. *See examples on this website. 

  • GMW branding │Managed the online and offline look and feel of GMW. Created ‘GMW Branding & Style Guidelines’ to strengthen the brand.

  • GMW website support │Edited text and uploaded visuals on GMW website. Designed the look and feel of the GMW website and worked together with the web communication coordinator and web developers to implement the design. *Familiar with Joomla and know basic HTML.

  • Handover to the OECD/INFE Finalized GMW handover process with the OECD International Network on Financial Education (OECD/INFE) for 2020.

Global Money Week Campaign

 

Global Money Week (GMW) is an annual global awareness-raising campaign on the importance of ensuring that young people, from an early age, are financially aware, and are gradually acquiring the knowledge, skills, attitudes and behaviors necessary to make sound financial decisions and ultimately achieve financial well-being and financial resilience.

GMW was initiated by Child & Youth Finance International (CYFI) in 2012 and was handed over to the OECD International Network on Financial Education (OECD/INFE) at the end of 2019.
