The Dutch Good Growth Fund (DGGF) Financing Local SMEs is an initiative of the Dutch government to stimulate entrepreneurship and create jobs in frontier markets.

DGGF Financing Local SMEs is managed by a consortium consisting of Triple Jump B.V. and PricewaterhouseCoopers Advisory N.V. (PwC) on behalf of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

i2i Ventures: Lessons From The Women-Led Early-Stage Venture Capital Fund From Pakistan

Since i2i Ventures is a bright example of a thriving capital fund despite a challenging context, DGGF decided to dedicate a knowledge paper to it. The paper centers on identifying the primary success drivers of i2i Ventures and how the fund’s strategies can inspire similar first-time early-stage venture capital funds in different countries or regions.

SHE Cambodia: Lessons From A Gender-Focused Entrepreneurship Incubator

As the collaboration between SHE Investments and DGGF provides a valuable learning model on how an incubator can expand into rural areas, DGGF decided to dedicate a knowledge paper to it. The paper centers on identifying SHE’s primary success drivers and how these strategies can serve as inspiration for similar incubators and accelerators in different countries or regions.

ACTB Sierra Leone: 5 Lessons From a Growing MSME Lender In a Fragile Environment

ACTB’s case provides a compelling and inspiring example of a successful and scalable financing model for the underserved at the bottom of the pyramid. This presents a learning opportunity for other, particularly younger, Microfinance Institutions (MFIs). As such, DGGF commissioned a case study, extracting five key lessons that could be replicated by MFIs in other countries or regions. At the core of all five lessons stand the high-trust, cooperative relationships that ACTB has established with clients, investors and regulators.

DGGF Impact Report 2021

The Dutch Good Growth Fund (DGGF) - Financing Local SMEs was established in 2014 and has since worked on furthering access to finance and entrepreneurship in frontier markets. This report dives deeper into the core impact areas of SMEs financed and jobs created since the start of DGGF, with particular attention to the challenges faced in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.

On October 1, Triple Jump and PwC – on behalf of the Dutch Good Growth Fund (DGGF) Investment Funds for Local SMEs – organized the conference “Closing the SME Finance Gap: Empowering Young & Women Entrepreneurs in Frontier Markets” at the Compagnietheater in Amsterdam.
